The advent of light pulse stretching and recompression techniques has opened the way to the generation of intense laser pulses of extremely short duration (≲0.1 ps). Thus, completely new techniques, as frequency-domain XUV interferometry, can be now implemented to gain access to the study of ultrafast processes [37, 38].
