Abstract
Suppose the lifetime of an electronic component has an exponential distribution with probability density function \( f(x;\theta ) = \frac{1} {\theta }e^{ - x/\theta } ,{\mathbf{ }}x > 0 \) where θ < 0 is the expected lifetime of such components.
