Abstract

This chapter is devoted to the exposition of iterative algorithms for the solution of CPs based on the theory developed in the two previous chapters. The methods presented herein are applicable to general classes of the complementarity problem and are all based on various equivalent equation/merit function reformulations of the CP, most of which we have introduced in Section 1.5. In order to apply the theory developed in Chapters 7 and 8, we need to first analyze in detail the relevant properties of these reformulations.
