Competitor—Competitor—Mutualist Systems

  • Chapter
Book cover Dynamical Systems in Population Biology

Abstract

In order to model mutualism phenomena in population biology, Rai et al. [183] proposed and analyzed a competitor—competitor—mutualist system of ordinary differential equations. Zheng [293] then considered a competitor—competitor— mutualist reaction—diffusion system of Lotka—Volterra type with constant coefficients, and Tineo [249] studied a similar model with spatial-varying and time-periodic coefficients and subject to the zero Neumann boundary condition.
