Abstract
Anatomically, the respiratory system consists of a series of passages: the nose, nasopharynx, pharynx, larynx, trachea and bronchi, and two lungs. Its main function is to provide for an intake of oxygen by the blood and to eliminate carbon dioxide from the blood.
