Abstract
It is a common observation that people differ widely in responding to life’s health challenges. Obesity is no exception. We know, for example, that some individuals are more susceptible than others to gaining weight, and that the ease of losing weight (and maintaining weight loss) can vary greatly between people, so that one person may succeed while another fails on the same diet.154,155
