Abstract
There is increased interest among clinicians, public health specialists, and social scientists about the extent to which violence and other coercive behaviors by partners and others influence women’s intention to become pregnant, their use of contraceptives, and their decision to terminate a pregnancy. Researchers also are beginning to evaluate violent men’s denigration of their partner’s sexual performance and/or infertility.
