Abstract

By reading this book you are taking an important and positive step towards ensuring that your degree programme goes smoothly. However, even with the minimum of hitches, you will discover that some aspects of your studying are easier than others and you will still find yourself undergoing a range of emotions, some of which may be unexpected. If you are to manage your degree effectively, you will need to be aware of these emotions and accept that they are normal: it is only in this way that you can be alert to problems as they arise.
