Abstract
Many people and many resources are devoted globally to ‘health promotion’. Yet, health promotion is plagued critically by four major problems. The first problem is almost unique to this field. The last three problems are common to many public health professionals. They are:
-
a confused identity
-
political baggage
-
a firm evidence base
-
dependence on others.
