Part of the book series: Communications in Medical and Care Compunetics ((CMCC,volume 1))

Abstract

A vision is presented to relief the healthcare system of the top of its burden by bringing healthcare closer to the customer—to bring healthcare into the home—with healthcare prosumers rather than consumers, priority medical devices rather than scarcity of labour and market incentives to create fair prices; Social and ethical considerations to deal with affordability, accessibility and efficacy of healthcare at home.
