Abstract

Anhydro sugars have proved to be versatile chiral synthons for the synthesis of chiral heterocycles including pyradazines, oxazines, triazines, chiral morpholines, tetrahydroquinoxalines, benzodioxins, oxazolidinones, episulfides, thiazolines, and cyclic trithiocarbonates. Selected examples are described in this chapter.
