Abstract

The species composition of ichthyofauna in the inland water bodies of Turkmenistan was analyzed on the basis of many-year materials collected by the author and the data from numerous publications. Changes that occurred in the composition of fish population were analyzed. The anthropogenic factors that facilitated changes, mixing, and their wide dissemination were studied. This chapter contains the full list of fish inhabiting the studied water bodies with regard to the new taxonomic realities and status reports.
