Abstract

The region of Central Anatolia is rich in terms of lakes. These, Tuz Lake (Konya-Ankara-Aksaray), Seyfe Lake (Kirsehir) and Sultansazligi (Kayseri) are surrounded by salty marshes. In the arid areas around these lakes, there are halophytic vegetation zones with changing physiognomy and floristic composition. In this study, edafic factors that cause the formation of vegetation zones, floristic composition of the zones and their situation from the point of view of agricultural usage are evaluated.
