Abstract
Information system reengineering activities are strongly related to a deep understanding of processes and related data in the organizations. This paper addresses problems related to the development of techniques and tools for process analysis and for the construction of a unified process architecture where semantic correspondences between processes are identified on the basis of their similarity. Unification of similar processes is considered a basic step for information system interoperability.
