Abstract

In this paper, an implementation framework of a generic end-to-end QoS management scheme is presented. Then, the compliance of the proposed scheme to the ODP (Open Distributing Processing) reference model is verified, by illustrating the correspondence of the various components of the proposed scheme to RM-ODP. The implementation of the end-to-end QoS scheme on a micro kernel based system is then described, with details of all the interfaces and system components. Finally, the applicability of the proposed scheme is demonstrated by applying it to a video on demand application, and carrying out a brief performance analysis.
