Abstract

Advances in computer-based control systems require to consider digital controllers on the base of multirate and unconventional sampling schemes. The purpose of this paper is to extend the concepts of system passivity which are well known ideas in the context of continuous and discrete time systems to the case of sampled-data systems. Initially, the classical sampling pattern is considered. Then, unconventional sampling schemes lead us to the general treatment of periodic systems.
