Abstract
This paper presents the main characteristics of an approach that can be used to model temporal information found in discourses. It extends the conceptual graph approach thanks to the introduction of the notion of time coordinate systems in the form of agents' perspectives and temporal localizations. The model may represent several types of temporal situations (events, processes, states and several sub-categories) which are related together and linked with temporal perspectives and localizations by means of temporal relations. We use an extension of Allen's temporal relations (augmented with parameters) as well as special relations used to represent multiple time intervals. This framework enables us to represent several conceptual issues such as iterativity, temporal metaknowledge, temporal operators.
