Abstract

The present status of the generalized Marchenko method for the solution of the inverse scattering problem of the Schrödinger equation in three dimensions is summarized. Gaps and errors in previous publications are filled and corrected, and a new connection between the scattering amplitude and the number of bound-state eigenvalues is pointed out.
