Abstract
In Fuzzy controllers the semantics of each of the linguistic labels is a fuzzy subset defined on the range of the measured magnitudes. We adress here the theoretical aspects of this choice. A Parmenidean Paradigm is a finite set of ordered Fuzzy Linguistic Variables with trapezoidal membership functions constructed from a basic antagonism called Parmenidean pair. A methodology is proposed in connection with a rule based regulator development tool.
