Higher twist effects in deep inelastic scattering

Measurements of nucleon structure functions in deep inelastic lepton nucleon scattering have now reached a precision where a separation of the Q2 dependence predicted by QCD and additional higher twist contributions becomes feasible. Analyses of the structure functions F2 of the proton and the deuteron and of the quantity R=σ L /σ T are presented.
