Abstract
After the installation of the basic hardware was completed, the L.N.L. recoil mass spectrometer underwent an initial series of tests, including the high voltage conditioning of the electrostatic dipoles and particles (α and heavy ions) analysis. The “raw” performances, with the still uncalibrated instrument, are described and compared with calculations.
