From the Functional to the Process-Centred Organisation

Abstract

This chapter presents developments from Tayloristic work organisations towards process-oriented structures as they are presently being demanded and tested. The aim of this chapter is to motivate the analysis and design of business processes as cooperative workflows in the language/action perspective, as applied subsequently in two case studies.
