Abstract
There is a proliferation of news sites on the World Wide Web and hence, it is becoming increasingly harder for journalists to monitor the news on such sites. In response to this need, a software tool JWeb-Watch was developed to provide journalists with a suite of tools for checking the latest news on the web. One particular feature of this tool is the ability to download relevant images from these sites and discard extraneous figures. The paper reviews related software and discusses the unique features of this approach adopted.
