Abstract

The aggregate structure and long-time kinetics of aggregation between oppositely charged particles is studied. Experimental and simulation results show that heteroaggregation produces more branched aggregates than diffusive aggregation. The kinetics is shown to slow down as time proceeds. Both results are connected by considering the friction of the aggregates with the suspension medium.
