Abstract

The status of next-to-leading-order corrections to jet cross sections in deeply inelastic scattering is reviewed. I give a brief introduction into the techniques which are used to calculate jet cross sections, and make a few remarks on a recent program comparison. A third part gives a few results of recent measurements of the strong coupling constant α52) and the gluon density f g /p(ξ, μ2 f).

There are, of course, two additional diagrams: the gluon in (a) attached to the outgoing quark, and the diagram with quark and antiquark exchanged in (b).
