Abstract

The tunneling process represents one of the most non-classical predictions in quantum mechanics. Within this process, one of the questions most debated is that of the “traversal time”, that is the time spent during the passage through a barrier. The question of how much time tunneling takes is certainly not new, but it is one that has not yet been resolved.
