Abstract

In this paper, we present a concept of the OCM-G - a distributed monitoring system for obtaining information and manipulating distributed applications running on the Grid. The purpose of this system is to provide a basis for building tools supporting parallel application development. We present Grid-specific requirements, propose a suitable architecture for the monitoring system, and describe the integration of the OCM-G with Grid services. OMIS is applied as an universal interface between the OCM-G and tools.
