Abstract
Multi device service provision is a challenging problem for information service providers. To support the diverse set of existing and future devices, services have to adapt the content to the capabilities of the different devices.
In this paper we present research efforts aiming at the development of system support for automated content adaptation to different devices. We introduce a software architecture for the adaptation process covering device identification and classification, session management, data input validation, dialog fragmentation, and transcoding. The adaptation software is realized by a Java based framework.
