Abstract

The application of the Heisenberg-Euler Lagrangian can be used to describe the interaction of low-energy electromagnetic fields with each other. The nonlocal expression for the fundamental box graph of QED with two incoming and two outgoing photons is thereby reduced to the local Heisenberg—Euler Lagrangian.
