Abstract
This chapter develops a theory of solid structure. Indeed, since most of the concepts of this book are involved in this theory, one can regard most of the analysis so far as an elaboration of that theory. All that in fact remains is to define, in detail, the nature of solid primitives - which is the main topic of this chapter. The theory of modeling, in the previous chapters - e.g., the theory of CSG, construction planes, constraints, assembly, etc. - provide the rest.
