Abstract

In this paper, a partial prosodic analysis of two sets of speech styles in Czech is described. Four styles have been chosen as representatives of discontinuous styles (Address, Spelling, Headings, Dates and Prices); three styles are representing continuous styles (Weather Forecast, Sport News, News). Based on this analysis, the prosody of the selected speech styles has been simulated using the Epos [3] speech system.
