Abstract

The survey of theoretical and phenomenological aspects of ep DIS at high Q 2 in the previous chapter related measured cross sections and distributions to interpretations in terms of underlying models and the determination of their parameters. We now want to discuss the experimental issues relevant to deriving theoretically interpretable measured quantities from the ep collisions provided by HERA. We will emphasize the aspects which are important for the high-Q 2 analyses.
