Abstract
The powder-in-tube (PIT) process as described in Sect. 3.4.2 was used by the present author to prepare wires and tapes from BSCCO materials. For both Bi-2212 and Bi-2223, green-wire fabrication was identical. Only the thermomechanical processing was significantly different. Therefore the production of green conductors will be treated in one section for both materials.
