An Interval Analysis Based Algorithm for Computing the Stability Margin of Uncertain Systems

A new algorithm for robust stability analysis of linear timeinvariant systems which depend on continuously and nonlinearly by uncertain parameters is proposed. The algorithm computes the stability margin as the maximal l∞ domain in the parameter space compatible with stability. An interval procedure is used to check positivity on an annular domain centered on the nominal parameter vector.
