Abstract

Molecular defects are commonly described as anharmonic oscillators, the basic properties of which have been well studied for a long time [1] and most aspects have been treated in textbooks [2]. Still, it is useful to review some of these points briefly and to discuss their applicability to the defect systems under consideration here.
