A laser spectroscopic setup has been applied in the past to successfully investigate offline the hyperfine structure splitting of radionuclides. In the present paper, its modification is described which will enable the determination of nuclear magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments with higher sensitivity and higher resolution.
