Zusammenfassung

Die chirurgische Behandlung von Karzinomen der Gallenblase und der Gallenwege ist komplex und anspruchsvoll. Diagnostik und Therapieentscheidung erfordern eine intensive interdisziplinäre Kooperation. Nur eine kurative Resektion der Tumoren bietet eine Aussicht auf ein Langzeitüberleben, sie ist oftmals nur durch ausgedehnte operative Eingriffe am hepatobiliären(-pankreatischen) System realisierbar. (Neo-)adjuvante Therapieansätze bedürfen weiterer Evaluation. Bei der Mehrzahl der Patienten liegt allerdings zum Zeitpunkt der Diagnosestellung ein fortgeschrittenes Tumorleiden vor, sodass eine Resektion nicht mehr in Frage kommt. Damit gewinnen endoskopische und radiologisch-interventionelle Maßnahmen an Stellenwert.
