Zusammenfassung
Die funktionellen Kopfgelenksstörungen fuhren vor allem zu funktionellen Störungen im Kopfbereich. Diese Feststellung ist banal und dennoch ist vielen Ärzten diese Tatsache nicht bewusst. In einer HNO-Praxis müssen ein viertel bis ein drittel aller geklagten Beschwerden auf eine funktionelle HWS-Störung zurückgeführt werden, oder die Beschwerden werden zumindest durch eine H WS- Blockierung getriggert oder verstärkt. Hat sich ein HNO-Arzt auf die HWS spezialisiert und weiß diese Krankheitsbilder zu behandeln, erreicht der Prozentsatz der HWS-Patienten in der Praxis einen Anteil von 50%. Bestätigt wurde dies von Herrn Prof. Dr. Seifert, langjähriger Vorsitzender des Berufsverbandes der HNO-Ärzte. Kritisch muss dann angemerkt werden, dass die HNO-Facharztausbildung auf HWS-Störungen nicht eingeht und so der angehende Facharzt in seiner Ausbildung nichts über Diagnose und Behandlungsmöglichkeit von über einem Viertel des Patientengutes in einer HNO-Praxis erfährt.
