Zusammenfassung
Das postoperative Management nach Hernienoperationen, welches Zeitpunkt und Umfang der Mobilisation, der körperlichen Belastung, die Notwendigkeit einer Thromboseprophylaxe und nicht zuletzt die Einschätzung einer Arbeitsunfähigkeitsdauer umfasst, ist weder in internationalen noch nationalen Standards dargestellt. Die Literatur zeigt jedoch im internationalen Vergleich wesentliche Differenzen bezüglich der genannten Faktoren auf.
Vor dem Hintergrund der Kostenentwicklung im öffentlichen Gesundheitssystem ist eine Prüfung der einzelnen Faktoren auf Subjektivität und möglicherweise historisch bedingte Vorgehensweisen zur Steigerung der Effektivität notwendig.
