Abstract

Linear down chirp compensation revealed 185fs pulses measured by SHG-FROG generated from a dispersion-managed semiconductor mode-locked laser. Up or down chirping allows broader mode-locked spectra depending on the temporal and spectral semiconductor gain dynamics.
