Zusammenfassung
Der Bereich der Neurobionik kann eingeteilt werden in die Neuroprothetik, die Biohybridelemente und den Rechenvorschriften, mit denen die Natur Informationsverarbeitung betreibt. In allen diesen Bereichen hat es in den letzten Jahren einen enormer Fortschritt gegeben, der hier anhand von verschiedenen Beispielen skizziert wird. Durch das zunehmende Verständnis der biologischen Elemente sowie den technische Fortschritt im Bereich Miniaturisierung und Materialien ist zu erwarten, dass die Neurobionik in den kommenden Jahren eine Führungsrolle in der bionischen Forschung beanspruchen wird.
