Zusammenfassung
Anatomie und Funktion des vorderen Kreuzbandes (vKB), Verletzungsmechanismus und Diagnostik, biologisch-technische Gesichtspunkte der funktionellen Behandlung von Kreuzbandrissen mit anschließender beschleunigter Rehabilitation werden dargestellt. Trotz aller Fortschritte innerhalb von 100 Jahren Kreuzbandchirurgie sind die Ergebnisse nur in 80% so erfolgreich, dass volle Belastungsfähigkeit und uneingeschränkte Sportfähigkeit wiederhergestellt werden. Mit Navigation und mit Verwendung „bioaktiver“ Substanzen wird eine weitere Optimierung der Behandlungsergebnisse verfolgt.
