Zusammenfassung
Während die Operationsinzidenz wegen rezidivierender Ulzera nach Einführung potenter Ulkustherapeutika (H2-Blocker/Protonenpumpenblocker) drastisch gesunken ist, blieb sie für Ulkuskomplikationen praktisch unverändert. Dabei werden partielle Magenresektionen (Billroth I und II) nur noch selten durchgeführt, da meist die selektive Vagotomie, Ulkusumstechung bei Blutung ausreichen (Kap. 8). Die totale Magenreseketion kommt vornehmlich bei malignen Prozessen des gastrodudenalen Bereiches zum Tragen.
