Abstract

On the basis of two observationally supported assumptions, namely that our galaxy has a double logarithmic spiral structure and that the rotation curve has undulations due to the higher rotational velocity at the spiral arms, it is shown that the rotation curve will depend on direction from the galactic center, and Oort's parameter A will be direction-dependent as well.
