Abstract

Asymptotic analysis of ignition in a typical stretched flow field counterflow system is presented. First, previous theoretical treatment of overall chemical reaction kinetics and related experimental results are summarized. Second, analysis of the branched-chain reaction mode of ignition in the same flow field is presented. The results show that the ignition time increases at a strong stretch rate and high recombination reaction rate.
