Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Physics ((LNP,volume 294))

Abstract

An outline of the structure of the semiclassical approximation model for inner-shell Coulomb ionization is given. Criteria of validity are discussed and computations are seen in relation to recent experiments. The continued usefulness of the first-order perturbative method is emphasized.
