Abstract

This paper describes static and dynamic characteristics of programs written in ESP (Extended Self-contained Prolog) running on PSI (Personal Sequential Inference machine). All the software modules on PSI are written in ESP. Four actual programs are chosen to measure the number of arguments, alternatives, the ratios of built-in predicate calls to all other calls, and so forth. The results of this measurement are summarized and evaluated.
