Abstract
We have set a new very low limit to emission in coronal lines in three T Tauri stars - two of which are detected as X-ray sources. This non-detection is surprising, at least in the case of GW Orionis, where, by analogy with the Sun, one could rather have expected to find the line at that level. We discuss the consequences of this result and outline a current attempt to measure the magnetic field in T Tauri stars.
