Abstract
Delayed switching, a transient in the voltage response to current pulses near threshold for sliding charge density wave conduction is measured in pure and electron irradiated o-TaS3. The results are in agreement with a model taking into account electric field induced polarization of CDWs. It is experimentally shown that during the transient the resistivity of the two halves of the sample varies in opposite sense.
