Abstract
A unified high level nonprocedural language is described for the automation of office and business applications. The language objects are two-dimensional business objects such as Tables, Forms, Reports, Charts and Audio Documents. The user directly programs in the body of these objects displayed on the screen mimicking manual business operations. The Query-by-Example data base management language which introduces the concept of two-dimensional programming is a subset of the OBE language described here.
